Hope the Island life is treating you well! I am currently looking for any & all recomendations for Builders, Contractors (G.C's) & Land Clearers. We are in the beginning stages of develpoing our property. We are currently located on the East Coast of the mainland, & CAN'T wait to re-locate! We have 4 acres in Ocean View. Not sure if the location would restrict using certain Builder/Contractors. We are looking for opions and experiences, good & bad from anyone, so we may make a educated decision. Mahalo for your input! Jim |

Location is very important, this is a big island and if you get a GC from further away they will charge you for travel time/expenses too. That was back at the time when I was getting spec houses built. I'm not doing that now, so he is free.

Jim, I highly recommend Scott Stabo, of Stabo Construction. He lives in Discovery Harbour, which is right down the road from Ocean View. We've known him for 5 years and he is very fair and honest; he'll work with you and won't try to sell you something you don't need. I've seen some of the houses that he's built from scratch and some of the work that he's had to do to correct another contractor's bad work.
