Pete, I believe in helping people and that's how I do business. Maybe I will need your help one day. (You better be there, or I will call my Tongan friends with the baseball bats!) :D :D :D

You are a true gentleman, and proved it to me already in such a short time! Honestly, I can't wait to get back on-island, and visit with all you guys. If we don't make it there in September, we have plans to come out next April, and will have to plan some time on the BI. (My parents are in their mid-80's and living in Hau-ula, near north shore Oahu....so we usually spend most of our island visiting time, with them.)
Pete

What the heck is this? John is getting a compliment? :D

Hi John,
I was trying to give credit to Bill for his "perfect" description of the location of california, that is the best explanation I have ever seen, I love it! and he is so right. california is Home of nuts, fruits, flakes, fires, floods, illegals, A-Holes & earthquakes! Hey Bill can I get your permission to use that in my location on my profile?(i just really love that saying)
very respectfully,
Elbert

Elbert, since we are from the same place, I won't charge you more than a Mai Tai.

Very Respectfully,
Elbert

John;
Ironically, I owe you a mai tai, but won't be able to pay up in person in September (it appears). Dr. Ressler is moving in this week I hear, and so on our trip to the islands, we will 'have to' stay on Oahu, rather than having my parents come stay with us at our place :) However, we will certainly be out at some point, as we try to get our 'ducks in a row'. I am looking forward to meeting you, and your Tongan friends (minus the bats of course) LOL
Mahalo,
Pete

p.s. - still looking to hook up by email with Elbert, re P.I. venture on the B.I. perhaps we can just figure out a way to compress the timeline a bit if we do that!

Here we go, that's what I get for helping out! I will have to charge you interest! (Did I tell you I got Italian schooling on that?!) :D :D :D BTW, I already knew about it, Randy e-mailed me a few days ago and already invited me to the house for dinner! Well, at least he is paying up! :D :D :D

Hey John....that's cool! You'll have to tell me your honest opinion about our place. Can you believe, we actually bought it 'sight unseen', via the observations of our agent, and online photos only. We have only had the pleasure of staying in it for one week, a month after we bought it, and other than that, it's been either vacant or rented, but we haven't been able to really feel like it's 'ours' yet. But one day, around Elbert's time frame, it will be our place to semi-retire.

By the way....how come no review on Bubba Gumps? Is it becuase it's a chain, or did I miss your review?
Pete

1. Yes, I can believe it. I had several clients who bought properties sight unseen. It's just a question of how much you trust the person representing you.
2. I don't eat at Bubba Gumps, their "Island Fish" is frozen from Thailand.

I can understand down rating Bubba Gumps for numerous reasons but:

The Haole Queen and I were comp'ed a dinner there a couple years ago and it was one of the best we've had on the Island. The food was great, service was great, even the weather was outstanding. Maybe the stars were aligned just right because we tried again about a year ago and it was good, but not great.

I'm not going to challenge John for the food critics position, but for the tin fork crowd, you may want to give bubba's a shot.

The main problem I have with Bubba Gumps is most everything is deepfried. I think I ordered something with lobster in it and it too came deep fried. Seafood is good for you, until you bread it and drop it in a deepfrier. Then you might as well be at fast food joint.
