I wonder why people who have no clue about the restaurant business at all open restaurants. Kamana's Grill is a new place, just opened at the Food Court of the Kona International Market Place. There have been several unsuccessful restaurants at this place and I doubt this will be successful either. It's a burger joint with local lunch plates served too. My burger was just OK, served with a huge pile of French Fries ($4.75 extra) that would have been enough for three people. Not too many people will shell out $13.00 for a fairly small burger with fries in a food court. They could easily cut the fries portion to half and make the price under $10.00. (Not if you want onions, that's extra too.) The fries were not seasoned at all, so I asked for salt. "We don't have salt" said the server. I though she was kidding, but she wasn't!
These people obviously know about as much about the restaurant business as I know about space engineering.
