Hi everyone from Scottsdale, Az. I have been to kona many times. My son is a firefighter and has a home in pualani estates. He is excited that I am moving here but so afraid I will be bored, no friends my age. Was wanting to know if there were specific clubs, outings for my age,

If you are an outgoing person than you will have no problem finding friends. There is a club called "Kupuna Singles Club" and they have programs on a regular basis.

Do you have any special hobbies? Gardening, golf, games, water activities?
There is Kona Outdoor Circle for gardening enthusiasts.

I don't know about clubs, but I have found volunteer activity has been wonderful for meeting people. Plus everyone feels good helping. I live in Waikoloa, so no help with Kona stuff, but there are many organizations that can use volunteers.

We moved here in our mid 60's not knowing anyone and have never, ever been bored. There are SO many volunteer opportunities, which is a great way to meet people. You might consider a walking club. You could sign up to be a greeter for when the cruise ships come into port. Etc., etc, etc.

Welcome to the Forum Chris! There are dance classes around that teach square dancing and ballroom dancing is my suggestion. And I second the volunteer work as well. I guarantee if you look hard enough for things to keep you busy you will find more than you can handle.
