I try to go to my work sober cuz I could get hurt if I was clear of mind and spirit.

What's it like to have a job you could go to drunk?

I used to have a job I could go to stoned. And I did so almost every day. I even got my job because my boss required I get stoned with him before he would hire me. It was part of my job interview. That was 1976 or 1977. Ahhhh, the good ole days!!! LOL!!! :drunken: :drunken: :drunken:

I used to work with a guy who worked stoned. He was loading bombers in Guam while high and took the tail section off of B-52. He got called into the Colonel's office and the Colonel said, "son, didn't you see that B-52 sitting there?" He claimed he replied, "no sir, it was camouflaged."

Said he got 30 days confinement to base and loss of pay, but they never figured out he'd been high at the time.

The job I was getting stoned at all the time was not exactly important. I was operating some machines but for the most part I would have tried to even hurt myself. LOL!!! I remember my boss Michael Pete (Can't remember his last name). He was pretty wild back then. Used to keep a stack of porn mags on his desk so we had something to read when we went to the bathroom. Also, we were allowed to drink beer on Fridays from 4pm on. So it was no too uncommon for some of us to be stoned and drunk when we left work on Fridays.

Someday I'll describe our safety meetings..... :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I started working as a gopher on a construction crew when I was 14. Fridays at 3 PM (promptly) the ice chests came out and everyone started drinking Stag beer (this is back when Stag was a real beer instead of a label).

I earned my alcoholism.

You might want to reconsider that. Alcoholics go to meetings, the rest of us are just drunks! :) :) :)

I go to meetings all the time. Of course, we drink at my meetings.

I never drink at meetings. But then I can never remember them ending and on occasion they end the next day. But I never drink at meetings. That is my story and I am sticking too it.

Dave you are "OLD" when you were going through your stoned interview I was in High school. (Barely)

I am actually feeling old these days. My back is really starting to bother me a lot.

I guess I will now reveal what we did in our safety meetings. Once a month on the 2nd Friday of every month we had to have a Safety Meeting to satisfiy our insurance requirements. We had these meetings from 4pm-5pm. This of course took away from our drinking time. So we incorporated our Safety Meeting and drinking time into one meeting. My boss or his boss would get up in front of every one and say something like "Has everyone been safe this month?". And everyone would speak up and say "Hell yeah!". Or something like that. Then my boss would wheel in the (This is where I am feeling really old right now) 8mm projector and we would watch stag films. A lot of them were in black and white.

Now I am feeling REALLY OLD!!! :bigsmurf: :bigsmurf: :bigsmurf:

Konaforum should be proud, my first reply in this thread has been introduced as an Exhibit in a court proceeding! I was also labeled as a "Smokers Advocate" by the plaintiff, who happens to be a lawyer. Not a very smart one though, Chapter 514B-32(a) of the HRS contemplates that restrictions on the use of units will be in the Declaration. Chapter 328J-8 of the HRS prohibits smoking in common areas (but not in limited common areas) in all apartment buildings and condominiums. However, the areas where the prohibition on smoking does not apply are private residences.

Kimmer, the HOA can only enforce what's written in your CC&Rs. You need to read that document to see what is allowed or prohibited.

Also, John may be the absolute best real estate professional in Hawaii, but if I were you I'd consult with an attorney before confronting your HOA.
