I could think of other Father's Day gifts that you could get benefit from too!

Don't suggest it John. That is the beginning of the end next thing you know that is the "Only" occasion. Nope keep special events out of it. If you don't rumor has is Birthdays and fathers day will be all you have to live for. I would rather keep my tradition or "Weak days" All pun intended. :D :D :D

I think John is referring to the days that he uses the handcuffs with the pink fur compared to just rope! :D :D :D

Does Sharky's have a retail location at their farm (and if so, what's the address?) I couldn't find anything on their web site. I'll be stocking up on high priced Big Island coffee and shipping it back home USPS flat rate boxes when I get there next week. Based on John and Dave's recommendations, it seems Sharkys is a mandatory coffee to pick up while I'm there. Besides, if it's a slow day for them, perhaps they'll have a chance to talk about growing coffee, land and so forth.

They do not have a "retail location" at their farm and they never have a "slow day" since it's only the owners who work there. It's a small coffee farm and they are not geared for tourists like the big boys. In fact, you can't even buy their coffee anywhere but at the KTA Super Stores on retail. (Sold in a green bag under the "Hawaiian Volcano Coffee" label.)

Well, it's good to have friends. They have it at KTA, so let me know if you want some and I will buy it for you at KTA and mail it to you priority mail. I believe it's $11.00 for 0.5 lbs.

Yes it is available, but they sell it under a different name for a while now. http://hawaiianvolcanocoffee.com You can order it through their web site, which is cheaper than me buying you a couple of pounds at the KTA Supermarket. (Tell them you are a friend of mine, otherwise they might not give you any coffee, they are running low and the new crops will not be ready for another month.) My 2nd pick would be "Kona Marie's Coffee" but they don't have a web site, I can e-mail you their phone number from my office on Tuesday.

Thank you John, I was out of town and probably forgot about the name change and had my friend looking at their old site. I gave them the correct website and they were able to place an order. Soon I'll be able to send friends coffee from Kona myself!

I have been drinking Kau coffee for a few years now. Why pay double for a coffee that is grown just a few miles away. Kau coffee is just as good as Kona coffee.

Best coffee I have ever had comes from this company -

http://www.lacolombe.com/

They offer all sorts of organically grown, SINGLE FARMER, non blended, shade grown cofees. They will grind it to whatever your preffered brewing method is and mail it to you.

I look forward to trying some local Hawaiian coffees when I arrive.

You should NEVER buy ground coffee! Buy beans and grind as much as you need at any given time!
