While I don't particularly agree with your statement that this is the real problem, it as an issue on both sides. Democrats and republicans both. The big difference here is that the democrats, progressives and Bernie socialists vote their party line because they are lemmings. The are allowing themselves to be lead blindly. Because let's face it, anyone who sees Hillary for who and what she really is (con artist, corrupt, liar and murderer) would never vote for such a politics as usual person such as Hillary.

The problem with this election is that their no real good candidates to vote for. While Trump is okay, I don't believe he is the best candidate for president we can have. Based on his policies from his website, if he only does half of what he intends to do he will be much better than a Hillary or Bernie could ever hope to be. But that's the problem I have with Trump, he is such an unknown in the world of politics I just don't know if I can trust that he will do what he says he will. At least I know with Hillary she is going to destroy our country. I don't know if Trump is going to this until he starts work.

All of this is JMHO. :D

I read an article the other day that trump is Wendell Wilkie. A sacrifice to make it look like we had a choice.

Interesting that I didn't think about WW until you mentioned him here.

I just wish the Libertarians would get their shit together.

I'm voting for Trump. The more other politicians on both sides hate him the more I like him.

They are scared shitless that their gravy train will end. Wouldn't it be nice for someone to walk into the VA administration or some other group of corrupt, incompetent assholes and say you have fucked up and you are fired. And I don't give a shit about your union or your contract or your pension or who promised you what. You are incapable of doing your job, and just because no one had the balls to fire you before doesn't matter, I am firing you now. No desk job with full salary, no resigning with full benefits, just put the shit on your desk in a box and you will be escorted out of the building. Adios and don't let the door hit you in the ass on they way out. Do you realize we have government employees taking the 5th?

This PC crap has gone too far, have you read about what is happening on college campuses?

Now as a NY'er I understand when he is joking, and yes, I get that other people don't, and maybe Putin, or the grand pubah of China or some lowlife Middle Eastern leader won't and I really don't give a shit. What they all need is a dose of good old fashioned American, in your face, strong talk.

I think Hillary is four more years of the same, and change has to happen before this country becomes something we can't recognize anymore..

JMHO :)

JMHO :)

I heard this morning on the news that Trump's remark about Obama being the founder of ISIS was nothing more than sarcasm. And the news agencies didn't get it. To be honest, I didn't get it either. I thought that comment made him look foolish. That is until they replayed the entire portion of his speech. When he said that Hillary was the co-founder I realized at that point it really was sarcasm. I think I am understanding him better now. He does say a lot of off the cuff remarks. I am not used to that in a candidate running for POTUS. And to be honest I wish he would hire a comedy writer for his speeches. But I am slowly warming up to him now that I am better understanding his personality.

To be honest, I am going to vote for Trump if for no more reason than to do whatever I can to keep out Hillary. But I was not feeling very good about voting for Trump for that reason. But now that I am better understanding where these off the cuff remarks are coming from I am feeling a little better about voting for Trump. JMHO

I totally agree Dave, it seems he is unable to keep his mouth shut, and you would think that is advisors (or whatever you call them) would tell him this. It's one thing to energize your base, it's another to just KEEP ON pissing people off. He needs more than just his groupies to win. Although maybe this is part of his strategy. But time is running out and if he wants to win he needs to get his shit together.

When I say I understand him, it is on his funny or sarcastic comments like the Obama/Hillary/Isis thing, but I was appalled at him comparing the sacrifice to military parents to his own.......really, really stupid.

Is he my ideal candidate, no way, but as you said we can't let Hillary win. And I really would love to see someone put the assholes in Congress in line. They are embarrassing.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that it's only a Republican issue because it's not - I think it's a wider political issue of blind following like you mentioned. I don't think most people even know what the candidates stand for, they just know what party they support or how they feel about them personally.

No need apologize. Everyone here is welcome. You may not agree with our politics but you are still welcome.

Unfortunately, our elections have turned more to a popularity contest than than an issues contest. Which sucks for us conservatives because Billary is the darling of the Democrat Party at the moment. Her character and her corrupt, con artist, lying murderer personality apparently doesn't matter to the progressives and most liberals along with most women and legal immigrants. At least I see most republicans (which I am not) would rather vote for a better candidate than Trump. But he is what the republicans have been dealt. I know many republicans that would prefer Gary Johnson over Trump but realize the Libertarians just don't have their shit together this year (again) and will vote Trump for the same reason I am and that is to keep Billary out of office.

I have been privy to a little inside information that is just now starting to come out into the open. I have not seen Fox News nor any of the left wing news agencies talking about this. But Trump has been suggesting he is leading in the polls when all the polls show Billary with a ~10% lead. This information is that most of the polls coming out are from the left wing agencies and are purposely being skewed to show Billary leading by a good amount. A lot of the skewing is coming by way of the polling who and where they are polling. In other words they go into a heavily Democrat district and do their polling. Here is a link to read:

http://truthfeed.com/sean-hannity-expos ... auds/9529/

But if you start looking at the Social Media Polls you start to realize that Trump is ahead in ALL polls by 300%-500% over Billary. I am not exaggerating about the 3-5 times more votes for Trump over Billary in all major Social Media Polls. Could it be the regular polls are being skewed as suggested? Could it be that in the privacy of ones home people are willing to share their real feelings while in public they are not? Based on what I see in Social Media, I'll go out on a bit of a limb here. If Billary wins it will probably be a very close race in the popular vote though probably not in the electoral college. But if Trump wins it will be a landslide. The Democrats have been predominant in the Social Media ring. But Trump has been doing this for a long time and already had a following prior to running for election. He has a definite advantage over previous Republican candidates. I'm thinking if all these Social Media Polls are even close to reality I'm thinking Trump is going to win. Of course this is all JMHO. :) :) :)

Personally I believe all liberal media news outlets and social media outlets are in bed with the Hilda beast. I don’t believe all the negative polls for Trump. Point of fact. There’s an interesting poll done by
The web site Constitution.com, click on the link and read it for yourself.

http://constitution.com/trump-leading-6 ... 00-voters/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
“But you probably have not heard about one poll that was recently taken where they polled 1,000 people from every state. Yep, 50,000 people were polled. They intentionally called 33% Republicans, 33% Democrats and 34% Independents and the results were so astonishing that none of the national liberal media have dared to report it.”

When you add in the independents it’s a game changer.

The problem is that people have dementia. Look at Hawaii. Harry Kim, who was one of the worst mayors we ever had, was just re-elected. I guess the 20,000 + voters voting for him forgot who terrible he was in office. Nationwide?! All the people in welfare will vote for Clinton, and we sure have more than enough welfare recipients. :x :x :x

Yeah, I can't figure out who is worse? Billy Kenoi or Harry Kim? You know what is going to happen, Billy Kenoi is going to get convicted and then run again and get elected. Mark my word, I see it in your future!

Add another 10,000 or so to that number. Those are the people who voted for Wally Lau, the former second man in charge, and one of the cronies of Billy Kenoi, our current disgraced Mayor. The "bruddahhood" is alive and thriving in Hawaii!

I know both Billy and Wally. Billy is a really funny guy, does great physical comedy (think a Hawaiian John Ritter), and while I don't doubt he knew what he was doing and thought he would get away with it, I can't help personally like him. His political career is pau, he'll get a slap on the wrist and go off into consulting or the non profit world.

I met Wally when he was tapped by Billy to become Managing Director for West Hawaii. He had been the ED of Neighborhood Place and I took his job when he left, so we spent much time together. He is a lovely man, honest with a huge heart. His life has always been about service and I was really hoping that he would win.

Harry Kim is old news. You want to talk about the good old boys, Billy is nothing compared to him. Probably not any more corrupt than the rest of them, but so out of touch. Anyone remember about 10 years ago when the work on Ali'i Drive was almost, maybe, kinda, sort of going to finally get started after about 20 years and Harry stopped the whole thing AGAIN because he saw a TV show about pedestrian roads in Germany and made them go back to redraw it again. Totally useless. I started a petition to cancel his subscription to cable TV but it failed.

Being new here I don't know much about these people, but what do you expect from a guy who is almost 80 years old? Of course he is so out of touch. There should be an age limitation for positions like Mayor, just like they have one for judges.
